Fragile Lights
The Foundation is working on the recovery of the immense artistic heritage of the Breznay-Ganoczy family. This includes oil paintings, watercolors, tempera works, engravings, drawings of every kind, as well as all related historical-artistic documentation, such as correspondence, photographs, films, and every type of record from the 18th century to the present.
The website will be continuously updated during the material's recovery process, and you can follow the progress by subscribing here.
Participate in saving this recently discovered unique artistic heritage
After almost a century, more than 1,000 unpublished drawings by József Breznay (1916–2012), one of the great masters of modern Hungarian art, are quickly disappearing.
These works, preserved in fragile notebooks, offer an intimate look at 20th-century Europe, filtered through art, war, and the challenges of old age. They are unique testimonies to creativity, resilience, and beauty.
